My last chance at camp this yr.  Very sad that it had to come to an end on a day I had to leave early to meet my 4yr old daughters teacher.  Doesn't St. Charles Parish know I like going to camp, they could have started a week earlier ;) or at least plan meetings and orientations for like 3pm?!  Anywho....I drug my hubby along with me, he doesn't like it very much.  But he knows better than to tell me no ;)  He helps me carry things! hehe (he doesn't read my blog).

So, we walked in, and camp was gonna take place on the other field we were told, so we found a spot to stand (i sat on the ground) and I quickly realized how much my pictures were going to suck so we moved to the bleachers for a better viewing area.  Which worked well, bc they didn't have many people there and we could move around like we wanted.

Stretches....I don't watch anyone else, just Cam Jordan....bc he doesn't stretch.  He kinda observes and does his own thing.  Notice everyone else in the picture is doing the same thing...not Cam hes original!  Again, hes gonna thrive in Spags system!

We had a good view of Drew and the WR's.  They worked quite awhile right infront of us so I was able to get some good shots of the offense.  Brees looked good one-on-one with the guys.  Its amazing to me to watch him lean back and throw the ball down the field.  Look even McCown was impressed ;)

Lance and Joe making catches while working with Drew, Chase, and company.  From what I read Joe dropped passes today but while i was there i didn't see him drop anything.  The chemistry between Lance and Drew is easy to see.  I think Lance might out due Colston this yr with TD's!
Andy Tanner makes this team.  I still haven't seem him drop a ball yet in camp.  He makes plays and makes the best of his opportunities.  Before we had to leave he was working on special teams and (who i assume was) the special teams coach was spending extra time with Andy as a gunner.  So maybe Roby gets that #4 WR spot and they try to make Andy a gunner.  The coach was telling him to go with his gut, and if it felt right to do it.
I'm very interested in seeing Marquis Clark in some gametime action.  He has good hands also.  He wont make the team, but maybe the saints can play him so another team can get a look at him.

The RB's came over to get some work in with Drew also.  Pierre was himself in practice.  But seeing this guy in gametime situations is amazing to me.  The yards after contact the he racks up is incredible.  He wont go down after the first hit.  He runs with purpose and heart!

Travaris Cadet needs to make this team!  He is a younger, cheaper, better version of Chris Ivory!
He has good hands, is tough, and finds holes.  Here are my current issues with Chris.  Health!!!  Ball security!!  HEALTH!!  And the fact that the 2 games I've watched him play so far this preseason he runs straight into the line-man.  FIND A LANE CHRIS!  Oh, and he fumbles....

DB DRILLS!!  These were fun to watch and we had a great view (not alot of pics bc refs and other players always got in my way for my "money shot")

Johnny Patrick did ok in these drills we watched.  He had good coverage on both Henderson and Morgan on these plays.

My fav. part of the day was from Jabari Greer!  Even though he is injured he was still helping our boys.  During DB drills he was coaching up the young players and letting them know what they did wrong and praising them when they did right!  He was very vocal today!  Even yelling out "We Ballin' outchea" when one of the DB's (Johnson) made a play!  It was great to see him still wanting to contribute even though he couldnt physically get on the field and play!

The last series of 3 pictures was a great play. Lance had Johnny Patrick running all over the endzone and Johnny stayed with him.  A perfectly thrown Brees (i think) pass got through Johnny P's hand to Lance.  Lance gave us a little celebration dance after that one!

We Left shortly after this.  We caught a little bit of special teams drills.  Thomas Morstead was booming his punts of course, no one could return them, so a coach would have to throw in a ball so they could practice the return.  It was actually quite entertaining.  That's how my camp yr ended.  Bittersweet!  I'm very blessed to be able to be a stay-at-hom mommy and be able to make the 3 that i did.  Our boys look good this yr and I'm pretty excited about what this yr will bring!!

See ya in the DOME :)

The football season has begun! Can i get an Amen?!

I wish we would volunteer to play in the HOF game every year.  Playing football in the beginning of August makes the off-season seem less torturous (sp?)  Got home from shopping and begin to watch 4 hrs of pre-game.  I love the guys at nfl network, the have great chemistry and don't say things to please the audience, they say how they feel....even if it hurts your feelings ;)

Before I get started with my game notes (yes i took notes, had to if i was going to take this blogging thing seriously), let me just say a big CONGRATS!  to one of my fav. all-time Saints, Willie Roaf.  O-lineman aren't flashy, don't beg for attention....they just go out and do their job.  And Willie did his job well!  Im very proud to have been able to watch him play as a Saint and even meet him :)

(this picture is old, i just had Mckenzie, so i look horrible, but still...)

So, before the game started they showed Brees in a huddle with the guys.  I didn't write down what was said but it gave me chills.  Brees is undeniably the best guy for this team, this job to rally the team throughout the year and to deal with the adversity we have to.  His pre-games speeches/chants make ME feel like I can got out and get 20qb sacks this yr!

The new jerseys, I like them.  I was a little afraid that Nike might go all "Maryland" (if u dont know what i am referring to google Maryland 2011 uniforms) on the logo and uniforms.  But the guys look great in them!

Before the game started Steve Mauriucci (sp?, im to lazy to google it) made me so proud.  He said Who Dat Nation would have the Saints back.  Big shout-out to us, and the dedication and passion we have for this team!

On to the game...

Brees has swagger!  I couldn't help but laugh, but this QB who was told he was to short filled with so much swag and confidence.  He just looked locked in, intense and at ease all in one.  "Everybodys watching because they want some football, so lets give it to em, ok?!"  Love it!

So, our starters only played one series on offense, may not seem like alot to observe, but, i have one word for our run game....NASTY!  Nasty, nasty, nasty!  Who is gonna cover Sproles on a screen?  Pierre YAC will be off the charts this yr, marks my words!  Ingram also looked good and made good cuts, kept the legs moving!  6th rank run team last yr...look for us to be at the top this yr.  To many weapons.

Chris Ivory needs to look for open lanes, I found, tonight, to many times he was just trying to run over people when he could have sidestepped and gained more yardage....in the NFL you will not steam roll every player you contact!

Starters on defense look really good.  One of our DB's actually caught an INT....yaya Malcolm :)  Pass rush will help pressure the qb, increasing our TO's this yr.  Lofton does a great job reading the run game and i look for him to have a great yr with us.

Thomas Morstead earns every cent of the money he gets paid!  Field position is very important in football and Thomas is the best!

Travaris Cadet impressed me yet again! He has the vision and speed and good hands!  He's making a name for himself, but with our loaded backfield i dont know if we could keep him, unless we can somehow use him in special teams.

Chase, oh Chase!  Thank god for u, bc if it were only Canfield....lord help us!  Chase is a great qb.  He makes smart decisions and is mobile and isnt afraid to run for yardage....with Drew as a mentor he can do great things!  I really hope we can keep him around for a few more yrs, but he is only under contract for 1yr.  Mayock said Chase had, "touch, accuracy, and toughness" and i agree 100%

Im starting to wonder if Higgins would be a better #2 TE option!  I LOVE Thomas but hes aging.  And Higgins is young.

Other players i was impressed with were

 Martez Wilson.
Junior Galette
Charles Brown

The late game highlight had to be the shot of Brees singing and dancing to "Play that Funky Music".  I dont think I've ever seen him so relaxed....but i guess 100mil will do that to you!

Mike Mayock ruined this highlight by thinking he could sing that same song....OMG that was the worse thing ive heard in quite some time!

All in all it was a win. A good win.  Had our starters been playing, or it have been a reg. season game.  It may have been ugly.  We had no problem marching right down the field on AZ.  Patriots next right?  Is it wrong of me to wish injury on an un-named player ;)  Just kidding......

1st camp day this yr for me

Oh, morning camps, how i love thee!  I was so excited about training camp that last night i maybe got 3 hrs of sleep! I knew it was going to be a good day when i pulled up and their were only 20 people in line :)  Walked in, didnt get my bag checked....SCORE!

Wasnt to happy about my choice of seating bc evendently members of the media are NOT worried about whos view they are blocking with their big heads and even bigger cameras ;)  So not only did i have to manuveur around them for photos, also had to do this to see the action (Moving up was an option but im lazy).

A few observations.

Our Defense got a good bit of pressure on the ofense today, alot of passes i found were rushed bc of the pressure.  LOVE THIS!

Im sticking to my prediction that Jed Collins will have a great yr, thought he looked good today, and could have a second job as a lip-syncher ;)

Chase is a great backup.  He isnt afraid to move around and run if he has to.

Joe Morgan looked amazing, im slightly biased bc of twitter ;) but he did have a couple amazing catches!  The fight for the no. 4 reciever spot is gonna be a good one.  Speaking of that, who says Devery has the 3 spot locked down?  This dude has been with us forever and i just dont see him getting better, not impressed with him today.  Arrington and Morgan made more plays than he did at camp today.

Cam owned the o-line in pass rushing drills today...one sack last yr was a learning experience he will greatly improve on that!  And how can u not LOVE him, hes def. a clown!

RB Cadet made a statement today running the ball i think.  He ran hard and burst through the halls...he reminds me of ivory, but maybe less fragile?!

Greer got hurt, hopefully nothing serious, but makes me nervous with him and PRob out.

Sproles is sproles....amazing!

I watched Nick Toon run the wrong route today, Brees pulled him aside with a smile on his face and explained to him what went wrong!  I see a bright future between these two!

Vitt looked like he was very aggitated today, two time the offense had to go back to the huddle, and it appeared to me that he was having words with Jimmy.

The kicking battle between Kasay and Hartley is a good one, both looked strong today, but its Hartleys to lose.

Luke Mcown is poo. thats all.

Thomas Morstead is an amazing guy.  The way he interacts with his fans.  It was a little girls 9yr. bday and he remembered her poster from twitter.  Another fan had a Morstead jersey and he had to find a gold pen to sign and made sure to take his time so that he name was perfect. Every camp i have been to he signs, and he signs FOREVER!!   LOVE him.

Quote of the day from a fan, "oh, that Lance, that Lance, I'de like to throw him over my shoulder and take him home with me!"  And an hour later I heard her tell the people she was with, "no. 5? i dont know who no. 5 is!!"

UGH!!!  Hate those fans....Ladies, learn the game PLEASE!  You are embarassing all the real femal sports fans around you!

Scott Shanle working with the 2nd team....THANK YOU SWEET BABY JESUS!!!

Tiff's Training Camp Chronicles :)

Well, football season is finally upon us.  Cant say that the offseason was long, with all of the ramblings going on about our team for the few months we had off. My opinion about this whole "bounty situation" is move on....  I'm over it, i dont want to hear about it....but i do want to shove that Lombardi up Goddells ass when we win it this yr!

Camp started a couple of days ago. I plan on going to a couple this year, even if i have to go alone.  I have lots of opinions about the Saints, and instead of just talking to myself about them, or torturing my husband everyday, i figured i'de blog about it :)

My player watch list.

#1 Patrick Robinson, our 3rd yr Corner.  Love him and think he will have a breakout season this year under Spags new D.  Mike and I went to Mini-camp and his play was impressive, covered Colston step by step!  I couldnt keep my eyes off of him during team drills, and very anxious to see how he performs during training camp with Brees at QB.

#2 Cam Jordan 2nd yr DE.  I liked this pick from the get-go.  Although Cam didnt have the big sack numbers his rookie yr i was impressed with his play.  Again under Spags scheme and more pass rush i see him having a great yr.

#3 Mark Ingram 2nd yr RB.  If Mark stays healthy....well you know.  I dont see Ivory making it through the year healthy, so that takes away one competitor.  I see Ingram getting alot of Goal line carries.

#4 Curtis Lofton, Chris Chamberlain, David Hawthorne.  We all know Vilmas situation and Casillas coming off injury....losing (imo our best young LBer) Dunbar to the Rams....our Lb corps was kinda weak.  And please God let one of these guys take Shanles spot.....i beg you :)

#5 Jed Collins...he makes me laugh, I know this has nothing to do with his football ability but i see him getting 5-7 tds this yr.

Now, with my history with this team, the passion and Love in my heart for all things Saints (thanks to my deceased Grandmother who passed about 16yrs ago, she left us all with the faith and love of this team in our hearts and souls...all of us, its not football....its family).  My opinions are highly biased and based on nothing but my heart.

This team is better, this team is stronger, and this team is playing with a chip on its shoulder.  The drama, the suspensions, the appeals, etc.  will only build this teams resolve.  Call me crazy but i think we may just be the first team to win the SB in their own stadium.  We didnt lose any offense weapons and strengthed parts of our D that was questionable.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have something to prove and I just know that this team, infact, DO THIER JOB!

I have one sibling...an older brother named Jeremy :)

He's cool beans :) Laid-back, soft-hearted....kind and loving....he always gives the best advice (especially musical) and i know i can turn to him no matter what! He supports me in every decision i make in life, even if he doesnt agree with it, bc im his baby sister :)

He lives in Chicago now, with his beautiful wife Dawn (who is infact, the best sister-in-law EVER) and they are expecting their first baby in April-May :) They will make great parents and i cant wait to be an Aunt :)

Day 4-Your parents

My parents, Mark and Kitty, are the bomb.

the end.

Lol, yea right....like thats all i would say. I remember growing up, and not being taught what to believe, but being taught to see the world from my own perspective....i wasnt really pushed to believe in certain religous ways, sexual prefrence, or race....they basically taught us to treat people kindly, with love and respect and you'll be treated the same...

I remember when my brother and i were growing up we were always going somewhere as a family...whether it be to watch him play baseball, or a family vacation...we were always on the move, but most of the time together.

They did, and do, whatever they can to make sure we are happy...they think about us, before they think about themselves!

I'm a daddys girl, through and through....i know if i needed something i could call him and he would take care of it....i know if someone broke my heart he was there with wisdom and guidance...he's so carefree, easy going...with an amazing attitude and spirit...i can probably count on one hand how many times ive seen him mad....more men should be like my daddy (and my borther)

My momma....we are straight...i can honestly say shes one of my best friends....our mindsets are alot the same on many things....i like to vent with her, just go somewhere and talk about everything thats going on...she always listens and our "if u treat me good ill go completely out of my way for you, but if u do me wrong, then f-you attitude" is about the same....lol. Shes got a great heart and cries when she watches tv...lol ;)

My parents are an inspiration to me....what they've taught us has stayed with me and i will teach my kids the same....my kids will know no color, hate, or gender....they will love everyone equally and with no judgement based on outer appearances.....peace and love baby....lol.

i love those people more than a blog can ever express!
